Forge a name worth keeping.

Type one keyword and get usernames, gamertags or business names built around it — then check whether the .com is still free, on the same screen. Free, instant, no sign-up.

How it works

  1. Pick a generator — username, gamertag or business name.
  2. Type one keyword and a style or industry. Ideas appear instantly, all built around your word.
  3. Save your favourites with the heart button — they are kept in your browser across all three generators.
  4. For business names, check the .com right on the results screen, then follow the registrar link to confirm the final price and register it.

Frequently asked questions

Are the generators really free?

Yes. All three generators and the .com availability check are free with no sign-up and no usage limit. The site is supported by ads.

How does the .com availability check work?

Your browser asks a public DNS resolver (over HTTPS) whether the domain has any DNS records, and cross-checks the .com registry's RDAP record. If neither shows anything, the name is marked “likely available”. That is an estimate, not a guarantee — premium or reserved names can look available, so always confirm the final price and availability at the registrar before you rely on a name.

Can you check Instagram, TikTok or X handles too?

No — and we will not fake it. Those platforms offer no public, keyless way for a website to check handle availability, so any site claiming instant social checks is guessing. Copy your favourites from here and paste them into each app's sign-up form to confirm.

Do you store my keywords or favourites?

No. Name generation happens entirely in your browser. Your saved favourites live in your browser's local storage on your device only — clear them any time with the Clear button. When you run a .com check, the candidate domain name itself is sent to the public DNS and registry resolvers (that is how the check works), but your keywords and favourites never leave your device.

Can I use a generated name for my business?

Yes — generated names are free for you to use. A name being unregistered as a .com does not clear it as a trademark, though, so run a trademark search in your country before printing it on packaging.

UsernameForge runs entirely in your browser — fast, free, no sign-up.
